Great item
I bought 2 of these mats and they work excellent. The pups could move around very well becuase of there little toenails can grip the fabric and I would just through the mat in the washing machine and it would come out looking like new. If you ever think about having a little of pups, you should really get one of these.

This product was very helpful during the whelping proccess. I used it as a base to towels & sheets. I found my female liked laying on the whelping mat better than towels & sheets.

Great!
These pads are lifesavers! I used them consistently while taking care of my elderly, bedridden mom and so many times they 'saved the day' for me from having to strip down and wash everything! They wash and dry so nicely, and lay flat so that there is no uncomfortable bumps. They are great for the dog beds, sofas and anywhere you want to protect! Thanks!

Glad I got 4 - may be getting more!
My old dog has degenerative myelopathy and arthritis so i ordered these to protect her orthopedic bed and my floors! Now she has both her beds covered and a covered trail to pace back and forth on btwn her beds! it keeps her dry and her bed dry! They do well in the washer that has an agitator and in the dryer. Only flaw is they are not no skid so i had to get some no skid tape to put down the sides on the back to hold it in place on the floor - or me and the dog would be breaking our necks! They also scrub fairly easy too for in between washer cleanings/spot cleanings. Also work well on my SUV's cargo floor! They are nice looking too - not gross looking like puppy pads can look.

European Champion Bloodline Basset Hound Puppies
I have been a Basset Hound breeder since 2006. We have tried different products from Amazon for whelping and the pups. This product was on sale and I had a litter coming the end of November so I needed something quick. These pads are fabulous. They wash completely clean after whelping, they are completely waterproof on the back, and the size was perfect to go under the whelping box and be held down by the sides so Mama Ginger could nest. I have used them with the pups in their inside outside area and again they wash with a hose and disinfectant then to the washer and dryer so great. I am going to order more when our next litter comes in the Spring. I recommend other breeders to use this product.

Terrific
I have two dogs that I rescued from Mississippi. One is a Yorkie and the other is a Yorkiepoo. Apparently the woman who owned them never bothered to house train them to go to the bathroom outside. So I bought three of these pads, and the dogs are great in using them. They hold their urine without leaking through. I bought three of them so I can rotate and wash them as needed. I would recommend these for anyone trying to house break a dog.

Great Product
This is a great product. We use these as a supplement for taking our two little dogs outside - that way they always have the option to use it if we are gone. My dogs responded well to them and it makes for a lot less stressful situation for both the dogs and us. They also wash up easily.

These Pads are Great
I love these pads and recommend them over the throw away pads. Not only are these pads cheaper than the disposable ones, they look better, I think work better, and my dogs like them more.I would recommend buying larger size pads. I've got sub 10lb dogs and the 20x27 seems small for even them.

Pre-wash these pads
Be sure to pre-wash...you have to do that to initialize the absorbency. It holds a lot of water and is a great value for its size. We use these pads not only for our lab, but for lots of things including sofa throws and even inside door mats--wipe your wet dirty feet on these things and then launder them, they are perfect. They save our carpet.

Great Pad
This EZwhelp pad is just great! It is light weight and absorbent. I like the brown top because it does a good job of hiding stains. This pad washes nicely, keeps it shape and dries quicker than thicker pads. When used for a protective covering on beds, this pad covers a twin or full size bed nicely. And our dog loves to sleep on these pads!

A must for breeders!
Before breeding my first litter, I read anything I could get my hands on, ordered appropriate books, intensely searched online, got my emergency supplies together, my puppy exercises prepared, and my vet on standby. But in all the searching I did, these two books (this one and Puppy Intensive Care, same author) were really what I was looking for at the time. Wrapped in a neat package, they cover everything that you could experience as an emergency. Many of the questions I still had unanswered in my mind after the litters I've raised were answered in these two books. I would just add How to Raise a Puppy You Can Live With as a good overall puppy development and socialization book.

BUY THIS!!!!!
I will try my hardest to express in mere words how insanely wonderful this book is. Here goes.I read several breeding books before I found this one and I found this one to have the best advice of them all. The lady is an RN midwife that works in a hospital delivering human babies. She did this for years before learning to be a dog breeder and becoming friends with a vet that is an absolute expert in canine midwifery that taught her a thing or two that's for sure. Her medical experience plus what she's learned from whelping puppies combines for one extremely objective, helpful book that is still down to earth and understandable for anybody.

Don't forget to discuss with your vet!!!
This is a good book but a first time breeder would be making a mistake to not discuss the whelping recommendations given here with their vet... use of Calsorb, in particular, but a few others. All dogs are individuals and one size does not fit all.The companion book, Puppy Intensive Care, is also helpful and its DVD shows how to do sub Q IV and insert a feeding tube.
