This improved loading ability comes both by way of a sliding roller attached to the frame that extends beyond the back of the vehicle, pivoting saddles that conform to the shape of your boat and an extra 1-inch frame extension forward of the front load bar that improves the front saddle adjustability for a better fit. Offering more vehicle fits, greater roller extension, and better access quick releases, the Thule 887XT Slipstream XT Kayak Roof Rack Mount Carrier makes it easy for just one person to load, unload, and secure a kayak weighing up to 75 lbs and up to 36-inches wide, to almost any vehicle. The premium 887XT Slipstream load assist roof rack mount works with most round bars and factory racks and offers greater roller extension for SUVs with big spoilers or vehicles with forward-mounted racks. The 887XT Slipstream shoulders up to 50 percent of the kayak's weight during loading and unloading, and prevents any contact with the vehicle, keeping both boat and car protected.

With increased frame tubing wall thickness, the 887XT Slipstream better resists bow impacts and heavy kayak loads for a stronger carrier overall. This sturdy carrier is constructed with double-coated, heavy-duty steel that resists corrosion and will stand up to a lifetime of use. The 887XT Slipstream has four touch points of padded support that conform to the hull of the boat for added protection as well as a sliding roller that extends beyond the back of the vehicle for maximum support. The new pivoting front saddles provide greater compatibility for secure transport of all kayaks types, and fishing kayaks in particular. The 887XT Slipstream contains two slide quick-releases instead of four which can be positioned on either side of unit to provide ultimate ease of use. In addition, an extra one-inch frame extension forward of the front load bar improves the front saddle adjustability for a better fit. Finally, the 887XT Slipstream XT comes complete with all the straps necessary to transport one kayak, including two load straps with padded buckles and two ratcheting bow/stern ropes.

Thule will warranty all Thule brand car rack systems and its accessories manufactured by Thule during the time that an original retail purchaser owns the product. This warranty terminates if a purchaser transfers the product to any other person. No warranty is given for defects caused by normal wear and tear, cosmetic rust, scratches, accidents, unlawful vehicle operation, or modification of, or any types of repair of a load carrier system other than those authorized by Thule.
