Adorable book with great info
**Great** photographs and fun,factual information make this a terrific book. I can't speak to the reading level classification, but the author has used repetition throughout and a mix of word difficulty. Good book to read aloud to little ones, too, as it is short enough to hold their attention. Looks great on my Kindle Fire....

Most adorable photos ever!
This is the sweetest little book about puppies. The photographs are so adorable. I felt like running out and buying a puppy. My kids love the pictures in this book also. From the learning to read perspective, I would say this book is probably best suited to a child that already reads quite a few site words. This wouldn't be good for a just beginning reader. That being said it it appropriately levels at reading level 2. The book is fairly short - 13 pages of reading. I would say this is a pretty good length for this level of reader. There are approximately 2 sentences per page and quite a few 2 syllable words. A lot of the words are repeated again and again which is great in early readers.

Pretty pictures, my daughter likes it.
I got this book on the kindle library for my smart phone. My daughter loves it. She's two and loves puppies. She insists on being the one who turns the page on the phone. Very nice book.

Better than five stars!
These tiny puppies are absolutely the cutest little things ever to hit the market!! I purchased to top cupcakes with, for my daughter's 7th Bday...I am now purchasing more so she can have the entire set! They are a hard rubber (not plastic, so they will not break when dropped on the ground, etc.) you will be very pleased with these...I love them and my daughter is thrilled!!

the best out there
I am a novice dog owner and I have to say this book has helped me tremendously with the most important period of the dog's life- puppyhood. This is my favorite "puppy guide" in my large library of puppy and dog training books I have bought over the last year. All I can say is wow! If you have been searching for a good book so that you can raise a new family member and best friend look no further because this is the book for you. It is extremely imformative and easy to understand, a must for anyone bring a puppy into their home.

I can LIVE with my puppy
Orginally, I purchased 3 books on training new puppies. "How to Raise A Puppy You Can Live with" is the only book I would recommend. And I do highly recommend it. I found it to be interesting and descriptive, but also an easy read, with language for the lay audience. The book details the growth of a puppy, at which ages to expect certain results, training methods at different age levels, and methods to punish a puppy without being cruel (like ignoring your puppy, which gets them begging for your love and acceptance). The book is filled with tons of advice on situations that will be encountered along the way of raising your puppy.

Okay, but better one is out there
This book was an okay book. It covers all major areas of puppy development, looks at training and problems in an elementary way, and uses nice black and white pictures for illustration. I find that it does rely rather heavily on food as reward. I liked this book better than the Monks of Skete's Art of Raising a puppy because it's more practical, yet I think that you are even better of if you purchase Kilcommens Good owners, great dogs. Though a bit more expensive, you get what you pay for. To me, dog training books need to have the potential to be used daily as a guide. I consulted this book maybe 3 times, while I use the Kilcommens book almost every other day.

puppies need adult help
This is a cute game set, but all 10 games you can play require an adult or older child to help. Reading is required. It says ages 4+ but there is a lot of set up which is hard for young children. We spent more time setting up than playing most games but my daughter did enjoy playing. I would recommend this for an older child playing with the little ones.

Fun adventure for little ones
we purchased this for our little girls who love to go on adventure walks outside - and wanted to have a fun alternative when it is too cold/rainy etc to head outdoors. Great fun! They love searching for the puppies and you can make it as easy or as difficult as you like (so it's great for little ones and bigger kids).Highly recommend this one :)

The great photographs and clear text have made this book most beloved by both of my sons. I bought it when I was pregnant with my first son 13 years ago. This is a great book
When we got our new puppy I bought my 4 yr old twins this book. They LOVED it so much they took it to pre-school to have the teacher read it to all of thier friends. I like how it taught them to think of how the puppy is feeling and what puppies need.

Brittany puppies
Personally, we loved this book BECAUSE of the pictures. We didn't really care about the story. Purchased a copy for my son and another for my husband. As owners of Brittanys for many years, we were in love with the pictures of the pups. Incidently, Welsh Springers have dark noses and Brittany's have pinkish eraser colored noses as these dogs clearly do. We are expecting a litter in a couple of weeks and I plan on purchasing copies for each of the new pup's new families to enjoy. It is not often that you can find something really special with your breed featured, so we were delighted with the book. If you want to believe that these are Welsh Springers, well I hope you enjoy the book as much as we do.

Our new favorite game!
I purchased this game for our two boys (3 and 5). My 5 year old is crazy over dogs so this was perfect. It is a great game that keeps everyone involved. My 3 year old probably isn't old enough yet to really 'get' the game, but he loves dogs too, so he just played along. The dog treats (how you 'buy' and 'pay' in this game) are a fantastic way to introduce the concept of money to preschoolers. There are fun little twists this game that keep everyone interested. We purchased several board games, but this is the only one I'm actually looking forward to playing again!

Fun with good customer service
My son loves puppies so this was perfect. Our favorite part is having to bark the payments, and getting to adopt puppies. Our game was missing one of the dog cards (bulldog) when we purchased it. We e-mailed Late for the Sky, and they wrote back right away. They sent a replacement card that arrived in less than a week. Great customer service! Would definitely recommend this game to anyone who has kids who love dogs.

In 2006, PBB started raising dogs to assist disabled children and adults and launched Dog Tags: Service Dogs for Those Who’ve Served Us, through which we donate fully trained service dogs to wounded soldiers coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Puppies Behind Bars (PBB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to training prison inmates to raise puppies to be guide dogs for the blind. PBB began with five puppies in the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, New York State's only maximum-security prison for women, and now work in six correctional facilities raising approximately 90 puppies. The puppies live in prison for sixteen month, go to classes, and afterward are tested to determine their suitability for training as service dogs for the disabled or explosive detection canines for law enforcement. We’ve also found a pretty specific use for Twitter at MPOW – to monitor and respond to questions/complaints about our library renovation transition (your comment about listening to your community & responding to your users struck a chord).
