Heavy duty pump
I am using this pump in a straight vegetable oil conversion for my Powerstroke diesel. Basically, I needed a pump that would maintain the needed pressure (50psi), flow even when I am pumping cold, thick vegetable oil. I have tried several pumps for this application (one of them a lot more expensive) and learned that for the viscosity I am dealing with, a gear rotor pump works best. This is the best choice from the gear rotor pumps available. This pump also has an air relief that keeps the pump from cavitating as much. It really improves the effectiveness. This pump will also produce the pressures needed (50psi) for my application. Most of the available choices won't do that and still handle the viscosity.
