WOW! AMAZING! ... UPDATED 12/09 & again Feb 2011
UPDATE FEBRUARY 2011:Just purchased another one, not because the current collar was broken or worn out, but the price dropped, and I know like all collars it will not last forever.Also, my dog's neck has surprisingly gotten larger and I have now added 2 more links. Given the OVERPRICED nature of the extra links, I figured it's cheaper (per link) to buy a whole new collar and have enough extra links and/or replacements if one or two wear out.ANYWAY - I have used this daily for years now, and it works great and the only rubbing/scratching on my dogs neck if from the second, nylon (standard) collar I always use (Just in case - on the off chance there is a problem with this collar and I need something to grab onto and hold. My dog is a true sweetheart who has thought he was a lap dog when I got him at 50 pounds and still thinks he is at some 50+ additional pounds more. For just the sheer weight and power, I keep a solid nylon dog collar on him...

Shoulder Relief
This collar was the best thing for our dogs as well for our arms and shoulders. The pinch collar does not cause any harm to our Husky/Chow or our Rottweiler. It provides a better experience for us during walks and when running with our beautiful dogs. These dogs are known for their powerful pulling capabilities and the collar helps them to control the urge to pull with all their might. This is a very well made heavy-duty collar. It is made with super heavy nylon and heavy welded hardware.
Measuring your dogs neck size:
Measure around your dogs neck (with string or tape measure) where you want the collar to lay and add 3 inches for adjustment. Then measure your dogs head to make sure it will go over. If not add 1" to the head size. The largest measurement will be the correct size.
Directions for use:
By adjusting the metal slide, open the collar piece wide. Slip it over the dog's neck and decrease size until you can comfortable slip only a couple of fingers under the collar. The unique limited closure prevents the choke from becoming too tight.
If you need a larger size just let us know your dogs neck size and we can custom make it.

martingale large size
Just to let you know the product itself isn't bad at all, and seems quite durable in quality. ONLY THING!!!!! I purchased 3 of these for when we do mobile pet adoptions with the shelter I volunteer at. These collars run giant, the large is like a giant size that could fit a moose. Even a very large headed pit bull, it was too large to use on her. If I had known I would have gotten mediums!!!!! So far, of the 3 purchased, havn't yet been able to use the product because the large is really that big without any exaggeration. Perhaps the large would fit well on a St Bernard sized dog. So buyers beware and if you have anything less then a giant sized dog stick with the mediums!!!! It is a good product and a fair price. I went for the deal and got 3 because I thought we could use them, and as I said, have not found a dog that's head it could fit so far after several months!!!!! I doubt we will ever be able to use these unfortunatly do to sizeing.

Collar worth $$$$$$$$
Having 2 "giant" black labs, I've tried first one collar and then another, so being a persistant one, I decided to try yet another, and much to my delight, the "Martingale" more than met my expectations. Durable, colorful and extremely well made, it is truly a dog owners dream come true. Is easy to slip on and off, but controls the animal with only a slight tug. Truly a winner!

Glow in the dark dog!
What a great invention! I have an 82 pound black lab mix and when it is dark out and we are walking in the neighborhood, I think my neighbors are happy to know that we're coming and instead of being scared about a big black very strong dog, they're focused on how cool his glowing collar is! Also invaluable for dog park romping now that the sun is setting sooner. ONLY minor negative is that when my dog shakes his head, he winds up somehow turning the light off. But other than that - I'm a huge fan!

Great for the puppies at night...
A great price for a great product they work great in the dark. Lights up our whole dog and all of the ground around him, as he walks. Batteries are easy to change (just had to check). Only con is we bought the largest collars (1green and 1 red) for our German Shepard, but they are a bit tight on our dog's neck. I just wish they had one size larger. Outside of that great to be able to see our baby in the dark and not worry were he went.

I bought 2 and had to return one still using the second one but the batteries are difficult to change. It does help me see my dark colored 90 pound dog at night so I don't trip over him. lights are easy to see I ordered the green so they don't light up the bedroom. Does what I wanted it to do.

Finally something that works!!
We have tried everything with our wonderful dog who never barks.. except when we leave... we started by giving him chew toys, busy bone, ultrasonic bark device, relaxing music for dogs (I kid you not), a dog collar with a citronelle spray, a fermone spray for his bed, and then we got a different electric collar pet safe which ambed up the shocks which worked somewhat but then our dog would howl when we leave.. it does not zap that kind of noise. After using this for a few years and watching our dog howl more and more when we leave... after another set of batteries ran out... we bought this one and oh my god it actually works. I think it' the vibration warning a zap is coming which makes it such a success... as it's a one two punch we needed to calm our dog down. For those of you who think this a bad for you dog... NO.. what is bad for your dog is straining his vocal cords all day and our neighbors nerves. Now he doesn't even attempt to bark or howl when leave what a huge relief...

Great product!
I've tried several no bark collars from different manufacturers. I really like this one best because it has a vibration feature that warns the dog before he gets barking. It is easy to adjust and is rechargeable. My dogs are barking herders and these work great.

Very effective
We ordered this collar for our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is a great dog, very gentle and obedient, but at age 2 has started develop a some pretty annoying barking habits. These range from the harmless but annoying, such as seeing a squirrel out the window, barking like crazy at it and then tearing down the stairs to his basement doggy door; to the embarassing such as going absolutely beserk at the mail carrier and anyone else who happens by our house walking a dog. When he goes into this "beserk" stage, he won't listen and can't be stopped from barking/growling until the "intruder" in his space is gone.We have tried a couple of different products, namely the PetSafe Outdoor Ultrasonic Bark Deterrent (the one shaped like a birdhouse) for outdoors, and PetSafe PBC-1000 Ultrasonic Indoor Bark Control for indoors. The Outdoor unit worked reasonably well, but our dog figured out pretty quickly that if he got far enough back from it (it was placed near the property line...
