Igloo Roller MaxCold 70
We bought this cooler 4 or 5 years ago because we travel often for weekend getaways. We really have enjoyed it so much, that when the handle broke, I ordered a replacement part from [...]. They have a similar product, however it is very wide in comparison. The tallness and deep lid feature allows for filling it up to the brim and then some. It does keep ice much longer than most by far. The claim to 5 days is probably a full chest of nothing but Ice, and not in direct sunlight. It really doesn't matter anyway. It's a great product and very convenient. The handle slides up quite a ways for ease in pulling it, without having to been down. In terms of the price, well it is expensive, but if you can get it on sale, do so. I recommend the 70 QT over the 60 because of the deeper lid, allowing for overfill. Don't you hate it when you fill a cooler, add Ice and you can't close the Lid? Well not likely with this one, sure you could do it, but the deep lid lets you get away with it more...

Great for travel!
We have really found this chest to be useful for travel. We don't need ice for 5 days but it keeps frozen things FROZEN for over 2 days and cold things cold. Easier to pick up than a wider cooler as well.

Cost effective repair solution
Igloo has a touching faith in plastic flex hinges, and makes the hinge itself very thin. The latch on my cooler breaks almost every season and the hinges usually last a couple of seasons. This stuff is expensive when bought individually and the shipping is usually more than the part cost. This kit provides enough parts to last for several years (even the SS screws) at a price much, much lower than individual purchases. Highly recommended.BTW, if the plastic lid retainer strap breaks and you don't want to pay a zillion dollars for a replacement, grab a piece of the woven-type plastic box strapping. I punched screw holes in mine with a hot nail to seal the edges, melted the cut edges and the strap has worked for 2 years now. I think I would have been in for well over $20 for a replacement.UPDATE 24Jun11--Ixnay on the retainer strap made from box strapping. My ham-handed beer drinking friends broke it (it splits) about 10 minutes into a party. I got stainless...

Save the landfill
Our aged cooler needed the new spout AND the hinges AND the latch. Everyone else at our group camping trip was impressed that we could replace those. The cooler was otherwise fine. The Boss
My teenage son and I share this cooler because he goes to the school I work in. We have this cooler with us for nearly 12 hours a day and it has kept our food and drinks cold. Bringing microwave meals to school was becoming a problem for my son because he like the Hungry Man brand which comes in big boxes. This cooler is big enough to put big bottles of soda and boxes of microwave meals.I just throw in a couple of those ice gel packs and it does a very good job of maintaining the temperature. It's so good at keeping things cool that one night I forgot to take the gel packs out and twelve hours later, I found that they were still partially frozen. It's very roomy but not too bulky. My son loves the color and design. It's perfect for a man and I intend to give this cooler to my son when he gets his first job because I know it's durable enough to last a lifetime.

Perfect Size for 2-5
It took me a while to find a cooler that would hold enough food for a day at the beach without going overboard. This cooler is the perfect size for my family + a couple grandparents. It easily fits just about any common food items you might want for the beach: soda, chips, subs, etc. Sure, the chips don't need to stay cool, but if it's just my wife, my daughter and I, it's easy to just throw all in the food in one accessible container.The construction of the cooler is similar to other Igloo coolers with this type of design. The "diamond plate exterior" does add some protection to the outer walls of the cooler, but if anything is going to break on these coolers, it's going to be the handle. Still, the diamond plate does lend a nice look to the cooler and you'll have a hard time finding a more attractive unit. Although it's black, it doesn't seem to soak up much heat if you can't find a shady area for it.

YES! The ORIGINAL style Playmate cooler
After years of dependable use of this larger style Playmate cooler, I was in need of a new one since I still have no idea where the old one went. Apparently, Playmate does not make many coolers which still have the single push-button opening and now have opted for a handle mechanism. The handle mechanism seems to have some pretty weak reviews, so I was desperate to find the old style Playmate. Well, here it is.This is the perfect size for the family picnic and can be easily carried with one hand with no worry that it will open up. The "boss" styling is fine and black is a good color, but it is the functionality of this cooler which is hands down great! Yes, it only has a plastic lid on top with little to no insulation, but again, this is for a picnic or one family meal, not a three day campout. For its use, the design is perfect.

High quality item
This is a well constructed, high quality cooler. It is very nice. I'm returning it only because the cooler is much bigger than I anticipated. I am trying to find one for my son to take on marching band trips. He previously had a two gallon water cooler that was lost, but it was still portable, about medium size. So I thought this two gallon container would be about the same size, but it is not, definitely not meant to be lugged around all day. I should have carefully read the dimensions in the product description. Still a wonderful container, I wish we had a use for it.

My Pet's New Favorite Sleeping Spot
My pet hedgehog loves this igloo! Although this product is sold for guinea pigs, any small animal can use it. I have placed it in his cage and he now enjoys pulling the bedding into the igloo to make himself a nice cozy bed! The igloo is great because it is plastic, so it is easy to wipe up any messes that a pet may leave behind. My only complaint would be that you can't pick the color of the igloo that you receive and I ended up with a pink one. Pink is a great color, but not the first pick for my male hedgehog!

Pigloo
I have two guinea pigs and they each have their own igloo. They are very easy to clean. The guinea pigs act like hermit crabs and drag their houses around. The igloos are lightweight and I don't have to worry about them getting hurt on sharp corners.

Easy to clean but poor ventilation
I have four rats and bought this igloo to place on the bedding at the bottom of their cage. When I bought it, it was the summer, and I noticed that they did not use the igloo despite quickly exploring all their other new toys. Since rats like to pile together everywhere, I thought that perhaps they were having a hard time breathing with their brothers on top of them and no ventilation anywhere in the igloo but the entrance. We took a drill and made a bunch of holes on the side and top and ever since then, they've loved to sleep inside it. It's easy to clean, unlike wooden homes, and they don't seem to like to chew this plastic much so it has lasted quite a while. Overall, a good buy; and it'd be a five-star one if it already came with ventilation holes (or if a ventilated variety was offered for those of us who keep multiple critters in the same cage).

Igloo 3 gallon beverage cooler
This is a great cooler for making Kool-aid or Lemonade in the summer time (or any time for that matter) we have 3 boys who are constantly wanting something to drink and this cooler keeps whatever we put in it, COLD. Its great to take to the beach or to the park for picmic's too! the lid does not screw on, it presses on, but that has not been a problem and it has never opened accidently. This is a high grade cooler made with premium materials, we really like how well the spout works. There is a great handle for carrying this to the car, or picnic table or beach. I couldint imagine having any other beverage cooler after owning this one! Holds lots and lots of ice and keeps everything ice cold! enjoy!!!

Igloo Cooler
Just the right size for a small weekend trip, but the lid isn't secure, it just pushes on and can pull off or fall off if the thing gets knocked over. We like it though, but ended up taping the lid on so it doesn't fall off if we knock the cooler over.
