NF Terrier playing with this toy

Great Toy!
I was nervous when buying this because I wasnt sure if this was the whole set or just replacements- I was pleased when it arrived and was the whole set.My dog has a great time with this toy. The little squirrels inside the trunk are squeaky toys, which she LOVES. The box came with instructions on how to modivate and teach your pet to use it. We put a small treat in the bottom and she had a great time digging it out. The whole process for removing the squirrels takes her less than a minute now, so if there is not a human near by to restock the trunk, she moves on to something else. This is not something I would leave her with and expect it to keep her occupied for the day.I would say that if your pet enjoys this general type of play (stuffed things, digging, hide and seek) this is an EXCELLENT toy and alot of fun. species identification
Our golden retriever loves this and, as others have reported, enjoys carrying the animals around the house after removing them. Fortunately, he doesn't squeak them for more than a couple of minutes at a time, and he hasn't injured any part of it in the three weeks that he's had it (he seems to know the difference between stuffed animals and sticks/bones, fortunately).I did need to do one intervention, though. The dog's grandparents and his father were encouraging him to "get the squirrels! get the squirrels!" They're definitely chipmunks. I've never seen a striped squirrel. So if you want your dog to learn appropriate species identification (and who doesn't?), you might want to switch to "get the chipmunks!" Top to learn more

great
Customer Video Review Length:: 1:23 MinsThis ball is great for my two and a half year old border collie mix. I give his breakfast through this ball, and it keeps him occupied for 20 minutes total. The ball won't fill up a whole cup of kibble, so I have to fill it up two times. This ball takes him longer and tires him more than the Tug a Jug, which only takes him about five minutes to empty. As he empties the ball twice, he will pant and go lap on some water. It's good to see he's getting some kind of work for his food as opposed to just chomping it down from the bowl with no effort. The only downside is that a lot of times the lid gets loose even if you close it pretty secure. One time the lid came off completly as my dog was playing with it, exposing all the kibble. To prevent this I used some strength to close the lid very tight, but later I could not open it back up! It took a grown male to open it back.My dog does not chew on this ball due to the awkward shape and...

Amazing for Puppies
I have a 12 week old golden retriever. This is his favorite toy since it provides him with treats. It's mine because it keeps him busy for a good 30 minutes- which, as any puppy owner knows, is a long respite from puppy antics. Although the plastic looks like it's a bit weak, it seems to be holding up extremely well. Especially since puppy has learned to pick it up and drop it.Tips:*Add puppy's food along with small treats so that he doesn't get an upset tummy.*If it confuses him at first (mine sat and barked at it) then put all the treats on the top of the toy, closing the 'trap door'. This makes it much easier for him to figure out how to get the treats. As he gets the hang of it, put the treats on the bottom and open the door to the widest, slowly closing it as he gets the hang of it.This might not be great for you:*If you don't have a fairly big non-carpeted space- I don't think it would move too great on carpet. You...

Treat-dispensing ball for dogs. Adjustable opening for added difficulty(Color may vary) Top to learn more
5" treat ball great for our Dobie and GSD.
Received quick! Great seller. This is smaller than I would have guessed. It's hard to get a feel for sizes here but the 5" is a large handful. It has adjustable difficulty, and I use this product to feed my dogs their kibble. Otherwise they inhale their food and get sick. One of our dogs is easily frustrated, and one is really good with these puzzle toys. For now I have taken the center panel out entirely, as we don't want it that difficult and it allows me to put more food inside. It can hold about 1 cup of food and still be easy enough to screw it back together. With the panel in it will be a bit less. At some point in the future I may put the panel that increases difficulty back in for the more clever pooch. One of my dogs managed to pop the thing open, but he's only done it once, perhaps it was luck or I didn't screw it tight enough. No damage to the ball. On more than one occasion I've found it difficult to open myself, it's just an...

Great Dog Toy, 16 Squeakers!!!!!
Customer Video Review Length:: 0:47 MinsMini our Rat Terrier LOVES this toy!!! She usually rips through toys from the grocery store in a matter of minutes, disembowling them of all squeakers, and then moves on. Watch my video review, she even looks up and smiles at the end. Thank you Kyjen for a GREAT dog toy! Top to learn more

Another Favorite!!
Similar to my other reviews I want to note that if your dog tears up plush toys this isn't for you. It's not a super tough toy in that regard. But it is one of my dogs absolute favorites!!! It has squeakers all along it's body! My dog always just chews on the squeaker and chews on the squeaker until it doesn't squeak anymore. In this case, there are SO many squeakers if one dies from playing there is still plenty of squeak options left! It's also big and floppy. The body lays pretty flat like a towel so my dog just whips his head around and plays with it like he's tearing it up then he goes back to squeaking it. It's pretty funny watching him flip it around. It has withstood some light tugging action between my two dogs, but nothing to rough. I highly recommend this toy! Top to learn more

Our dogs love this chew
We have two dogs, both of which would make short work of a large rawhide, completely consuming it in about an hour. Needless to say we were concerned about their health, both the possibility of choking, but also the stomach upset that always followed a rawhide session. We got them hooked on Nylabones as an alternative. Even if your dog is an avid rawhide fan, they can love Nylabone--you just have to use some tricky psychology and make the dog THINK it's the greatest treasure in the world. We've tried a couple different Nylabone models, and the Wishbone is by far the favorite. With the three prongs, they can easily anchor it in front of them with their feet and they have their choice of prong to chew. Even if you've tried other Nylabones and not met with much success, keep trying until you find a style that works for your dog. Try the softer ones first so your dog gets some success chewing on it so he's less likely to give up on the harder ones, then graduate up to the harder ones... Top to learn more
Awesome for Powerful Chewers!
My french bulldog loves this bone! This is the only bone she has been unable to destroy so far. The wishbone shape is great, because the dog can hold the bottom with both paws and then take turns chewing both sides of the wishbone. Top to learn more
Indestructable
We have a lab who is an EXTREMELY aggressive chewer and this is her longest-lasting and most beloved toy. She loves this wishbone because she can easily hold onto it and chew at the same time. This Nylabone is a great product that I would recommend for any pet. Top to learn more

so far it's lasted 2 weeks...
Important note: the extreme Kong is NOT the same as the red Kong, which apparently is much flimsier. I got this for my neighbor's good-natured pit bull Major, after seeing him shred everything else. Thin rubber squeaky toys last only a few hours, nylabones perhaps a day or two, and even the thick rubber chill pill got shredded. But the Kong Extreme has (to my surprise) remained intact. I had begun to think that only a chunk of cinderblock would survive...maybe. Extreme Kong takes funny bounces (which apparently is part of the idea. Toys with rope handles made for better slobber-avoiding toss-and-fetching, but handles got chewed off very quickly. You can throw this by poking your finger in the holes and tossing--it's marginally better in terms of slobber than many other toys. Kong comes in different sizes--the largest may outweigh your toy Chihuahua, so be judicious. If a neighbor has a pit bull, getting on his good side is important, even if he is as good-natured as Major! Top to learn more

Perfect for pitties & the smell goes away!
I do pit bull rescue and I'm ALWAYS looking for durable toys. This Kong is my favorite of all. I like to have three per dog so that I can mix up batches of Kong stuffing (peanut butter, bananas, and oats) and then freeze them. They are AWESOME for crate training. Now that I've said how awesome they are, there is a drawback. They DO stink when they first come. They DO smell bad. So I always wash mine (with a bottle brush) and soak them in soapy water for a few days before their first use. The smell goes away after awhile, but it never seems to bother my dogs.We LOVE the Kongs!(If you're looking for durable toys you should also check out the Nylabone dinosaur and deer antlers. They are big hits at my house. And if you buy in bulk, [...] is good too!) Top to learn more

Used by police, drug enforcement teams, and the military for training working dogs, this super-tough toy stands up to jaws of steel. Even if your dog's job rarely takes him off the couch, the Kong Extreme's goofy, unpredictable bounce makes for hours of chasing and fetching fun--just the thing for animals whose life in the wild consists of tracking, killing, chewing, and then doing the same thing all over again. When you're away, simply stuff the hollow interior with treats or gooey peanut butter, and extracting the contents becomes a "hunt" to keep any pooch happy and busy all workday long. Chewing Kongs helps promote strong jaws, clean teeth, and general oral health. Even aggressive "power chewers" will find it hard to bite through carbon-formula Ultra Flex, and dogs with separation anxiety or problem behaviors like barking and digging will especially benefit from the mental and physical stimulation.
Kongs are made in the USA from a thick, flexible rubber that's non-toxic, non-splintering, and puncture-resistant. This black Kong Extreme is appropriate for medium- to large-sized aggressive chewers, including smaller Labs and golden retrievers. Supervised play is highly recommended, especially when first giving a Kong toy to your dog. Regularly inspect the Kong for cracks or missing chunks, and replace worn or damaged toys to avoid a choking hazard. Satisfaction is guaranteed; if either you or your dog aren't happy with your purchase, return within 30 days for a full refund. --Mary ParkTop to learn more
For extremely extreme chewers, size UP!
I got the Extreme Kong (black), because my rat terrier had already torn apart a Classic Kong (red). He goes through plush squeaky toys in no time flat. He has chewed pieces out of one Extreme Kong, but not the other two. What have I learned to keep him from shredding Kongs?1) Always supervise your dog with this toy (at least until you know how well it will hold up). Yes, the instructions say this. It's not just CYA legal BS. Until you know for SURE that *your* dog can't chew through the Extreme Kong, don't leave him unattended with this toy. (Unfortunately, this means that I can't give it to him in his kennel to alleviate boredom when I leave the house.)2) If your dog has already destroyed other toys, consider sizing up from the "recommended" size. My dog weighs 25 lb, which is solidly in the "medium" range, but the Large Kong is better for his extreme chewing. The Extreme Kong he tore apart was a Medium. He hasn't managed to tear apart the Large yet... Top to learn more

Chuck It Ultra Ball
The best dog balls we've ever bought. My labs love these balls; in fact I can honestly say they are obsessed with them. These balls are hard rubber, very bouncy, float and my dogs haven't been able to chew these up like regular tennis balls. And these balls are not furry so the dirt and grass doesn't stick like it does on regular tennis balls. I hate picking up a tennis ball that is all furry and matted with dirt. I think our dogs feel the same way because whenever it's time to play they bring us these and they ignore the tennis balls! Cost a little more than tennis balls, but they last longer. 5 stars.UPDATE 7-31-10: Labs are still ga-ga over these Chuck It balls! Top to learn more
Best dog ball for ball-crazy heavy chewers.
My working line GSD is ball obsessed...and he gives them a rough workout! I previously used Orbee balls, but the hole in the center would fill up with water when he dropped it in his water bowl for a drink and then would spill all over our floors. These don't do this. Also, they're bright orange which makes locating them easier, especially in the dark. They're still chewy, so he loves them. They are TOUGH. They float and bounce high...they're not very heavy. These also fit in the ChuckIt thrower...****Tennis balls are DANGEROUS to your dogs....they break apart and can cause impactions, AND the glue will eat away at the enamel on your dogs teeth. Buy these balls instead, you won't be sorry. Top to learn more
Ultra Ball
By far one of the best balls out there. They bounce higher than most, are easy to find in the the grass and have proven highly indestructable so far with my super power chewers, a Lab mix puppy and adult German Shepherd who love to devour tennis balls. Best of all no green fuzz all over the house! Top to learn more

Security and Comfort Another benefit of dog toys and dog balls is they provide a sense of comfort and security for your pet. If you’ve had your puppy or dog any length of time then you probably realize that dog balls and toys can be true lifesavers. Have you noticed that your dog has that one particular toy or dog ball that he just won’t let out of his sight during playtime. With dog toys, you’re showing your dog that he can relax and have fun around you while also encouraging exercise, thinking and interaction. A dog toy or two might be just what your dog needs to feel secure. Dog Training Many owners use food to begin their dog training. Look for high quality brands such as Orbee, Planet Dog or Kong Tennis Balls for dogs. A great game to play with your dog is Hide and Seek, in which you’ll hide the object and tell your pup to “go get it. ” He’ll sniff all around until he finds the object or toy. Dog toys create interaction between master and pet and help to establish that connection that is so vital to training and caring for your pet.
