Great Dog House - and I have a big/destructive dog!
I read the previous reviews AFTER ordering this dog house and was very worried about my purchase. But honestly I was shocked how WRONG a lot of the reviews were in my opinion.My dog is an 80lb shepherd who is OUT OF CONTROL, lol, he's a great dog but he is very large and is still a puppy so very hyper and he destorys...well... everything!!!!! and not only does he LOVE his dog house, but he has not been able to destroy it like others in their reviews mentioned. He's jumped on it and pushed it and its still stand there just fine.It's basically made of thick plastic so it "seems" flimsy when you take it out of the box but once its snapped together it is quite sturdy. The first time I put it together it did seem flimsy then I realize a couple of the snaps were not fully in place, once I corrected that I have NO complains on its durability.It is hallow, as far ss no insolation so I got a dog mat for inside and put a blanket inside but he'd rather sleep...

Economical purchase
I have an older dog, so didn't want to spend a ton of money for something, not knowing how long it would be used (sadly), despite the other reviews, I wanted to find out myself. It was very simple to put together, I did not find it flimsy, maybe if all the tabs aren't locked into place. Someone said theirs blew away in a wind storm, but it IS recommened to be fastened down, which I did, made a frame of wood and fastened it to it, seems to be very sturdy. I cut a scrap piece of carpet to fit and my dog is now in HEAVEN! Yes it isn't insulated, but think that can be easily remedied by anyone who is a little bit handy. I think what I like the best is not having to paint it, wash it down and be done with it! It is also a very cute house.

Good House
Good House for the price. Easy Construction except for the plastic door. The hinges that hold the plastic do not stay on tight and come off easily. The house blocks the dogs from bad weather which is why I like it. I recommend putting a block of wood under the house because it is close to the ground and water can possibly get in.

Easy snap together, well-designed, weak floor
It took me about 20 minutes to put everything together. The screen panels (door) only require twisting of 4 thumb bolts and no screwdriver is even needed. The unit, after assembly, feels sturdy and strong. There are small air inlets at the top corners of the front and back panels to let fresh air in & out without letting water to leak in.The only thing I have to complain about is the floor should have been thicker and stronger, as it is very thin and weak. I guess it was designed to be put on a hard and flat surface, so I'm gonna have to get a piece of plywood underneath to provide support in order to jack it up from the ground.Overall, I'm happy with this dog house, as it was easy to assemble and structurally strong. The screen door is a plus, as all other types of dog house don't have it. The price is reasonable and affordable.

Great for my cats
I just ordered my third Suncast dog house. I'm using them on my deck for my outside kitties to keep them out of the rain and cold. It's not super sturdy but since my heaviest cat weighs only about 10 lbs it's enough. The floor is a little thin but I put bricks under all 4 corners and the middle on each side, works really well. I plan on filling it with old blankets this winter so they can snuggle in. All in all, for $50 it's great!

I bought this for the 3-4 cats that live on my porch, for the winter. I also got the body-heat mat for the inside, and the door (I'm reviewing those on their own product pages).I have uploaded a picture of the medium dogloo (Indigo Dog Home) with the door, and my cat Katrina, so maybe you can get a visual idea about size. She is maybe 5# IF that, a normal sized housecat breed.I bought two of these, and they came together in the biggest box I've ever seen, holy cats! I didn't even know carrier services could deliver boxes that big. Four normal adults could have fit crouching in it! This is a Medium dog house
I thought that because the profile says "good for large dogs" it would be for a 50lb dog, but it's not. I have a chow mix, which isn't very big, he's about 48lbs and only comes up to my knees, but he can't fit through the door into this dog house. I thought I bought a large, but this company only sells Medium houses online. The product itself is fine if you have a medium dog <40lbs.

5-Star Room for My 5-Star Cats!
I bought this house 3 years ago. For the first two years of use, it was on my covered porch and exposed to alot of the elements and held up very well. (I stuffed it with clean straw for winter use.) Easy to assemble, though it does take about 30 mintues. It is also easy to keep clean. I would buy another in a flash - but don't have the room!My four cats love this house! For a while only my outside cat used it. It took him a week or two to get used to it, but then it became his favorite outside spot. Now that he is happy living inside, he shares the house with his two brothers and sister. Quite often there is one large cat sleeping on the bottom level, while one or two are on the balcony doing "guard duty" at the window! Every one who sees the house comments on the attractive and fun design, esp. the balcony. This house is worth the price!

My dogs love this lookout post!
I have had this pet house for four-and-a-half years and it is still going strong. It is great for relatively small dogs, I'd say up to 15-20 lbs. I put a square dog bed with bolster sides on top to make it comfy, and my two chihuahuas, 7 lbs and 4 lbs, are usually up there together enjoying each other's company. There's plenty of room for both. They can both easily climb the steps and get into the bed.The house is next to the main front window in my house, and my dogs use the top deck as a lookout perch. It is absolutely their favorite place -- if I'm looking for them in the house that's the first place I check. They watch the bikers, dog walkers, cats, etc. go by and bark at them. Great entertainment for them (even if a little loud for me.) Neither one of them likes to stay in the little room underneath (although sometimes the littlest one hides in it when she knows she's been bad), but it is perfect for storing dog toys. An 'OK' cat house-Needs modified for outdoor use
I purchased this house for my indoor/outdoor cat for $80 from Petsmart. I've been searching the internet for weeks for an affordable,quality cat house (to no avail). This was very easy to put together, took me about 15 minutes, although I omitted the lattice and steps (which seem useless for cats) and modified the front entrance. I took both sides of the steps and cut them to fit the front, gluing them one on top of the other across the bottom part of the entrance. Since this will be used during the winter, I wanted a smaller opening and something more protective from snow and rain. My 15 lb. cat eases in and out of it without any problem with the smaller opening.And yes, I did have to caulk it, it would have most definitely leaked, there were gaps between the wood. I caulked the top and sides, sealing every single seam. I also gave it a coating of waterproof stain (additional supplies cost $15). The wood is thin and it's aromatic but not overwhelming. Just What I Thought It Would Be....
I received this little dog house today, and am very pleased with it. It looks just like the photo (I posted some of my own pics so you can get a more realistic view of the size) and I think it will work just fine for our new puppy. I purchased this for a 6 week old American Eskimo puppy that we'll be bringing home in about week. Instead of going for a traditional dog bed or pillow, I wanted him to have a place where he could get a little privacy. Obviously this will be fine for him while he's little, but once he reaches full size, I may need to look into something a bit larger. If you plan to use this for a small breed or for puppies (or even cats), you'll have no problems. I'd say anything over 15 pounds, and you're gonna have a tight fit. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase all around (price and quality) and absolutely recommend it.

Spacious and easy to install
Given that this dog house is $20, it's studier and larger than I imagined. It's really easy to set up too. Just pop open the frame of the house, slide in the mat and the "roof" sticks right on thanks to the super strong velcro. I have 13-18lb pekingese at home and they fit inside nicely (one at a time). I only wish the opening were a little bigger, but maybe that might alter the structural integrity since these are just foam pads covered in cloth.

Good Product
I've owned similar products in the past and these are definitely better quality and worth the cost. My little girl loves to sleep in them and she is about 9 lbs and fits perfectly. I'd definitely recommend them to someone w/ a small dog (under 10 lbs) or cat so they can have a place of their own. The only negative feedback I have is that it would be nice for them to have a larger opening, a bit higher.

My dogs love it!
I have two chihuahuas and a maltese who absolutely fight over this! I had to buy 3!!!! VERY easy to assemble, it was up in less than two minutes! It's very soft both on the inside and out, and all very washable. I would recommend this to anyone with a small dog, especially for the low price that it is! Look anywhere else and it would probably be 3x as much! Go ahead and pamper your pup, without breaking the bank.

Good for Well-Behaved Dogs
I love this dog house. It is so cute. As stated, it's well padded for comfort and looks exctly as it does in the picture shown (minus the dog, lol). However, my little puppy is a very mischievous one, so even though she sleeps comfortably in it at night, sometimes a wild streak will take her and she will play with the doghouse... with it ending up overturned and in a drain sometimes :/So the only downside to it being portable and very light, is that if you don't have a well-behaved dog, the house may not stay put as intended.
