Good for teeth AND stress
CET Chews Petite for Small Dogs (30 chews)My dog loves all sizes of these CET Chews. She is a 15 pound Bichon Frise who loves to chew to relieve stress, but only bones, rawhide, or similar chewables. I've heard mixed reviews on rawhide in general, but in the last few years rawhide chews started giving her terribly smelly gas, enough to clear the room! We have discovered, however, that the CET chews do not have that effect, and they help to relieve her stress as well as clean her teeth. We recently switched to the smaller chews because even though she manages the larger chews just fine, we decided it was better to give her smaller ones more often than a big one just occasionally, and that it's probably easier on her small digestive system. Anyway, we love these and would recommend anyone whose dog enjoys chewing to give these a try. Do keep in mind that whenever your pet is chewing something like this that they should be monitored, though we have never had a minute's trouble with...

My dogs love this...and it's good for them too
A former vet tech of many years, we recommended CET chews to our clients. Back then, they didn't contain chlorhexiderm, but were quite effective as a dentrifice for dogs. With the added chlorhexiderm, they've only improved! My dogs find them just as palatable, but with the added benefit of anti-microbial properties most chews don't contain, it's something I can feel good about giving them.My dogs really enjoy these treats. I don't give them daily, just a few times a week. I strongly suggest pet owners be present when pets are using a chew. These should not be used a pacifier when you are away. Supervision is always a good idea as you never know if choking could occur.

Great for Dogs Teath
My Vet recommended these for my dogs. They completely remove the plack from the dogs teath and eliminated very expensive cleaning of the dogs teath. It also eliminates putting the dog to sleep while cleaning the teath. I take my dogs in about once a year and my vet looks at the teath and just says they look great - no cleaning required. Before I found these, the dogs teath had to be cleaned about every 2 years. Plus my dogs love the flavor of these.

my dogs love them
I would definitely reccomend these for your dog. My dogs love their taste and think they're getting a treat when they get these. I also save money by buying the biggest size and cutting them in half.Here's our tale. My dog Babe is 11 yrs old. 3 years ago at her annual check-up the vet reccomended we have her teeth cleaned (this means anesthesia). We were busy so we scheduled her appointment 2 months out. The new dog foods with teeth brushing had just come out in our area so we switched her to one. When we took her in for the teeth cleaning, the vet said she didn't need it. Yeah! Then last year we took our new dog Hercules to the vet and she showed us the CET Hextra chews. Which my dog treated like the best thing he'd ever seen. So I went home and ordered some. I have a Golden Retreiver, and 2 labs. All big dogs. They love the chews BUT I caution you to PLEASE keep an eye on your dogs while they are chewing them. The chews tend to soften as the dogs chew and chews often stick in the back of the dogs throat and I have to stick my fingers down to remove the last piece of chew. I would never leave my dogs alone while eating any type of rawhide chew.

Opted for a more cost effective route
I have a 20lb pug and had bought a similar product for medium size dogs. He chewed them up in about 2 min, not very useful for cleaning his teeth. Many people had said that the dog bites off big chunks at a time. SO what i did was bought the bag for Large dogs (same price or may have been a few cents less actually) and i cut them in half. They are a bit thicker so it takes him a long time to chew them up and this way you get TWICE as many. He LOVES them and they don't upset his tummy which is great because almost anything does.

Works Well
I have a 4 year old Westie who weighs about 17 pounds and is a very picky eater. She will chew these treats a couple of times a week with no complaints and I do believe it has reduced the plaque on her teeth. I combine these treats with a product called "Triple Pet Plaque Off and Fresh Breath" which is a clear liquid that you add to the water bowl. In 3 months, she has gone from the vet recommending getting her teeth professionally cleaned to saying that they look great. It has surely been worth the $20 investment to avoid a costly cleaning and anesthesia. Worth a try!

BEWARE, NEVER GIVE TO DOG UNLESS ATTENDED.
My four legged furry kids love these and they DO help the tartar buildup on their teeth and DO help their bad breath smell better, But both of my dogs also get in a hurry and do not chew into tiny pieces. They try to hurry up and swallow what is left when the other dog finishes his first, and more than I can count on both hands, the remnants have to be pulled out by a human. Please do not ever give theses to your dog and leave them unattended.

Bad Tooth Tartar: all but gone
I have a Rescue Weiner dog with teeth that had very bad tartar from front to back. Simply said, they were total brown. The vet suggested scraping which costs about $90.00. She sold me the large size (bag of 15 each) for about $18.00. Foxie the Weiner dog loves them. I also gave her Cow knees fron the butcher shop. (You can bake the knees to get rid of the grease and rancid smell.)The combination of the two has cleaned the dogs teeth remarkably in about thirty + days. She no longer needs to have her teeth scraped. I searched many internet sources for these products. With the $25.00 minimum Amazon supersaver shiping I saved about 45% off of the vet's cost and about 20% to 30% from many online vendor's.I saved $ by buying the large size, then cut them in half with a sharp knife or poultry shears.To keep you dog from vomiting the chew, use the large or extra large size. Take the chew away after 15-20 minutes before the dog can soften the entire chew, swallow it whole and gag/vomit...

Throw That Beef-Flavored Toothpaste Away!
Let's face it, the finger-brush & beef-flavored toothpaste is a nightmare. My sweet, gentle dog, who seems ok with just about anything that comes her way, drew the line at the fingertip toothbrush.She loves these chews though. I know because when I give her a treat that she's not crazy about, she'll eat it and stand there looking at me like she's waiting for something better. If I give her a treat that she likes, she'll trot off happily to the other room to enjoy it. When I give her these chews, she takes off like a bat out of Hades, and she stays occupied longer than with most other chews we've tried.Plus, they really do help keep her teeth healthy & clean, and the vet even mentioned her healthy teeth during her last visit. Lab swallows these whole
I have five dogs and have been feeding both the medium and large sizes of this product for several months. I have no doubt that it cleans their teeth. However, I have two problems with this product. One is with the sizing. In the large size, there are always plenty of chews that should be considered medium. Since I pay extra for the large size, I expect that they should all be large. Also, there are often ones included that are way too thick, and can't be chewed in a reasonable time.The other problem is with my old black lab mix, Fargo. He chews for awhile and then proceeds to swallow the whole thing. Invariably, it gets caught in his throat and I have to fish it out. He resents this as he believes I am trying to steal it. I have discontinued using these and am looking for another product that works equally well but is less apt to be swallowed whole.
