My new shelter rescue dog loves this bed so much---I bought two!
This bed is the perfect size for my 25 lb. shelter rescue. It doesn't take up a lot of space in the family room, either. I like the natural color. I also bought one for my upstairs computer room. He enjoys both. I like that the sides aren't too high so he can hang over the edge. And, yet it's not just a flat blanket. It's an actual bed and has a shape. I wish they made this in the exact same width except about 18-19" long, so I can put two side-by-side on the backseat of my car. Oh, well.

Great Bed
I bought this bed for my cat. She is extremely spoiled, and has other beds from other vendors, but this one is the best I've purchased. The reason - the thickness. It really has additional padding on the bottom, which makes it extra cozy and warm. When she first saw it, she ran over, sniffed it, laid down on it, and purred for about 15 minutes. Since the initial time, she spends quite a bit of time on it. If you are a sucker for your pets like I am, buy this particular bed. BTW, they wash up great. Vacuum them off, throw them in the washer and dryer and done.

Washable Dog Bed
I have 3 of these beds in various sizes, one for each of our dogs. The best part about them is that they can be easily washed and dried at home, even the 36" size. And, of course it is nice that my dogs love them too. The beds are not very thick, but dogs can be found to lie on a bare floors and so this has to be better. I have bought thick padded beds in the past and my dogs did not use them as much as these. These seem just enough for my dogs, and they can be easily topped with a folded blanket if you have a dog that likes more padding. Almost forgot, the dogs love to rest their heads on the tubular rim of the beds.

Coolaroo Large Pet Bed - Green With Black Frame
These are GREAT pet beds! - We have one for each of our two Labradors and they just love 'em! BTW, there IS a subtle trick to assembling them; i.e., you MUST keep ALL bolts loose right up to the final one that connects the second of the two spreader bars to the leg frames. When you're ready to insert the last bolt, situate the bed so that only three legs touch the floor and, then, LEFT THAT LAST LEG UP ABOUT SIX INCHES - JUST ENOUGH TO RELIEVE THE STRESS IN THE COOLAROO FABRIC!!! Then wiggle that LAST bolt through the leg frame into the crossbar and tighten it JUST enough to hold the entire assembly together. FINALLY, using a couple of phone books or someone's "spare foot", keep the corner diagonal to the one with the last bolt you just "wiggled" into place DOWN ON THE FLOOR and s.t.r.e.t.c.h. the cover taut by forcing the LAST LEG DOWN onto the floor and into proper alignment with the other three legs! ... NOW! - TIGHTEN ALL THE BOLTS! ... Simple, huh?

A Trick To Assembling THIS Pet Bed ...
I've assembled three of these puppies (Pun Intended!) so far, and, right at the end of the job, there's a trick ya' gotta' do! ... FIRST! - verify that EACH and EVERY bolt is loose enough to warp the frame slightly; i.e., with a phone book or someone's foot (!) on ONE of the corners, lift UP the DIAGONALLY-OPPOSITE corner JUST enough to align the (final) bolt hole in the cross member with the (final) bolt hole in the support frame!!!Then, just thread the LAST remaining bolt through and tighten it just a little! ... FINALLY, PUSH ALL four corners down onto the floor and into alignment - use MORE phone books or ONE of your remaining "free" arms! ... THEN finish tightening up ALL the bolts!PLEASE NOTE THAT, when you align ALL four legs evenly on the floor, the fabric tightens up considerably! CONVERSELY, lifting ONE of the legs up allows the fabric to slacken just enough to line up that final bolt! Trying to assemble this thing with all four legs "in the same...

Good bed at a great price
The measurements for the large bed are 28 x 40 according to the specs. I measured the "sleeping space" (minus the bolster) when I got it. The flat area my dog can lay on is 22 x 32. There is a zipper in the back of the bolster and the back of the bottom section. A HUGE plus to anyone who has tried to force a bed with stuffing into a washing machine. It also makes "fluffing" the bed much easier.I did not like the stuffing. I uploaded a picture of the stuffing for those that want to see what is inside of it. The bed went flat as soon as my dog sat on it. Both dogs have hip problems so I cut sections of 3 inch memory foam to put in the bottom and moved some of the stuffing from the bottom into the bolster.I would purchase this bed again for my Golden. She is 65lbs. The bed has enough room for her to stretch out. It has nice material but the fabric will not hold up to a chewer or scratcher. It is too small for my 95lbs Shep X although you can't tell her that! I...

Great Bed!!
This is a great bed for the money!! I was grateful that there was a review by an owner of a 60# Weimariner as I figured that dog's size was pretty close to my dog. My Standard Poodle, Mocha Java, is VERY tall and lanky and weighs 55 pounds. I was afraid that the bed might be a bit small for her and I decided if it was, I'd let our Pekingese have it. But no! She absolutely loves it, curls up in it, puts her head on the bolster and she's a goner! She has plenty of room. Thank you for a great product!

Nice bed for the money
I was looking for a budget friendly bed for my 60 lb weim and this seemed to fit the bill. He seemed to have settled in it right away and looks comfy. I wish it was stuffed more with polyfill for extra padding, but you wont find this at chain petstores for the same cost, so its well worth it.

A Heavenly Pet Bed
I purchased this bed for my 10 pound shih-tzu, who is 7 years old. The bed arrived in an excellently packaged parcel. Packing paper kept it from being bounced around in the box. The orthopedic base has improved my dog's joint stiffness. She is able to jump, trot and run like she did 2 years ago. She was having joint trouble with the regular beds and this bed has helped relieve the pressure on her joints. She also enjoys resting her head on the plush outside and watching the window. The bed doesn't take up a lot of space and is light, making it easy to move and take on trips. If you are looking for a bed for an older dog with joint stiffness, then this is an excellent bed for your dog.

perfect on the outside
I got the small bed in gray. I measured it- from end to end, it is 20" but the part indicated for sleeping is only 11". The size is just fine for my puppy, but I have a small yorkie. The color is more gray, than the periwinkle color in the picture, but it is by no means a true gray. I do love the color, it work perfect with the color scheme of the room the bed is in. It is a more elegant and modern looking bed than many of the others out there.The foam is fairly thick but not dense at all, so it is easily compressed when pressure is applied, not a concern for my 2 lb puppy, but I can't imagine a heavier dog feeling any sort of support or cushion once the foam is compressed under its weight. Also, the top portion of the foam is like the inside of an egg crate and my puppy didn't like the completely irregular surface (but an easily solved problem- I laid a fleece blanky over it). The best foam bed at $30
We have a family member's dog who has more or less become part of our pack, and she is over 10. She has problems getting up, is clearly achy, and I know she has arthritis. We got her this bed because it says it's good for seniors. At first, she was not feeling the bed at all, but now that she's spent a couple nights on it, she loves it. I am going to buy another for the living room, too. Not only does she like it, my other younger dogs like it, too, so I'm always yelling at them to get off so Juniper can lay down. Considering other senior beds are upwards of 80 bucks, this is a good deal. It's thick enough that even the 54 lb dog doesn't touch the floor when laying on it. It's got a nice cover that goes with our decor. It's got a removable and washable cover, which helps since she sheds like crazy. It's really light and portable, so if we need to go to the vet, we can move it with one hand into the car.

Amazing Quality!
"This orthopedic dog bed is AMAZING!!! I was afraid it might become flat from the dog laying on it. It does not compress AT ALL. My dog is a german shepherd female, 3 years old. She fits on the large bed very comfortably - she can even stretch out on it - and the best part is she STILL stays FOUR INCHES off the ground with her on it (does not compress at all!)! Wish I could get one for a human for $40! :)"

Nice, but not orthopaedic.
Price is great, much lower than other orthopaedic pet beds.The item is not quite as described:"Petmate Orthopaedic foam bed is ideal for aging and arthritic pets. Featuring orthopaedic foam which relieves pressure points"This description gives the impression that the foam is above average or maybe even memory type foam. However, it's just a substandard piece of foam in a nice cover, offers no true orthopaedic value. With that said, the cover is nice, very nice. Nice enough to justify keeping and improving so go purchase a piece of true memory foam to put in it. That will make it truly orthopaedic and it will have a nice cover!
