Best clicker I've used - but I did retire it
Don't waste time with the cheap dog-bone clickers. This is reliable and you never find you're mashing the "wrong end" and failing to make the noise precisely when you need to. This was just the right clicker for me and my GSMD puppy when we were both learning marker/clicker training technique. That said, I finally switched to using my voice (I follow Ed Frawley's training advice and now YES! takes the place of click). Why? because with a leash, treats, and other gear there's one less thing to manage by hand, I never misplace my voice, and am always prepared to emit the behavior marker at the correct time! The switch from clicker to voice was no problem for either me or my dog, and there are still uses for these excellent clickers in training. Top to learn more

Buy this one! Don't waste your money on others.
OK, I was anxious to get started so first I went to Petsmart to buy it in person. But they didn't have it, so I ended up buying one of those little bone ones. DON'T DO THAT! It broke within five minutes of using it. So I got online and ordered this one from Amazon. It's SOOOOOO much better. It's very loud, sturdy and works perfectly. Don't waste your dogs time or your money on any other clicker. BUY THIS ONE ... in my humble opinion ;) Top to learn more

easy way to make the click sound softer
Some reviewers mentioned the click was too loud. And I must admit it is indeed loud. I was very aprehensive about purchasing it because of this problem. However, I heard so much praise about clicker training that I bought it with the intention of muffling the sound by adhering some sound absorbing materials to the clicker to reduce the loudness of the click. Well, as soon as I got my hands on it I discovered an easy way to reduce the loudness of the click. Here is how: Simply place the clicker with the orange button facing down on or just before that fatty tissue part of your palm that the thumb extends out of. Then apply firm pressure to the back side of the clicker by folding your four fingers on top the clicker. Make the pressure just firm enough so that clicker sound holes are pressing against the fatty tissue of your palm, then when needed just apply a little more pressure with the four fingers on the back of the clicker to make it click. If you have the clicker... Top to learn more

Not just for toddlers....
My husband bought this book for our 4 year old (who is famous among everyone we know for being both a book lover and a dog lover), and it is, not surprisingly, one of her favorites. She took it to her pre-K class today, and when I picked her up, her teachers were raving about it! They said that they read it at least three times to the class, and that it was the hit of the day! The fun starts before the book is even opened. The tails of the three dogs on the cover are touch and feel furry, or wag with the pull of a tab. It just gets better from there. This book is packed with a wide variety of clever and creative interactive tricks that are well integrated with the entertaining verbiage. The book is, in fact, clever enough to engage my husband and myself, and our older children; even my college aged daughter is currently petting, pulling and generally getting a kick out of this book as I write this review. I am online now to order another copy as a gift to my daughter's preschool...

Doggone Fun!!
I love dogs, so when I saw this book in the store, I had to buy it for my two granddaughters, ages 1 and 3. They loved pulling the tabs to make the tails wag and especially to make the dog pee on the tree! The best part is that this book is very well constructed and can take lots of pulling and petting. Cute pictures and clever, too!

One of the best interactive books I have bought
I bought this for my 1 yr old daughter and she just love it - in fact both myself and my husband thought this is one of the best interactive book we have bought out of our hundreds of books! Very sturdy , and very informative ( as it gives you all the names of breed of dogs that have appeared). I have no regret in buying this book at all !

The Back Seat Hammock gives pets a safe and comfortable ride suspended between the sturdy material. Attached easily from the front and rear seats of most automobiles. Top to learn more
Easy to use, but smells funny
I bought this having read the other 5-star reviews, including the one that says the hammock has a "chemical or dirt" smell. Well, now that I've got the hammock, it's so incredibly easy to use and setup, I can't believe I was putting down an old blanket before. But the other reviewer was right: That chemical/dirt odor (and seriously, I couldn't have come up with a better description than dirt, myself!) is really strong. It probably will wear off eventually, but leaving it out in the sun, spraying it with Febreeze, and even washing it on the mild cycle with hot water and "fluff" drying it without heat (DO NOT TRY THIS as it tears the nylon backing!!!) have not rid it of the smell. If the smell ever goes away, I'd rate this as a 5, but for now, I'm optimistically giving it a 3. Might not be a bad idea to check the other hammocks available out there and spend a bit more money to see if you can get a non-dirt-smelling seat cover! Top to learn more
Easy to use
I am a Vet Tech, so I am able to take my dog to work with me & I take him almost every day. He is a Golden Retriever, so he sheds A LOT. My GMC Jimmy's back seat is pretty much covered with hair & it kind of smells like dog in there. Well, I recently purchased a new car & definitely do not want the back seat to be trashed like the old one is. This cover is very easy to install. There are four adjustable straps that fit around the head rests of your seats. They have clips for easy removal & replacement. It fits pretty well in the back seat of my car, which is a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix. It took me 10-15 minutes to hook everything up & get the straps adjusted just right. There are velcro slits that allow for access to seat belts. There is also a velcro slit at the edge of the seat which enables you to open it to allow a human passenger to sit in the back without removing the entire cover. As for cleaning, I just run it through the washing machine,... Top to learn more
Let's Go For a Ride in the Car!
After getting at new car at Christmas, I just had to find something to keep the backseat decent. My two Briards (80 and 70 lbs.) sit together in the backseat of the Forester (used to be a Golf, this is spacious!). The hammock hangs easily between the seats from the headrests. It only took a few minutes to put it in. Now the dogs ride comfortably and their muddy paws stay where they belong. I was concerned when I first saw it that the velcro would rip open from the weight of the dogs, but that has not happened in nearly two months of use. All in all, this hammock has made it possible for the dogs to have more frequent rides in the car -- isn't that the best news?! Top to learn more

so far it's lasted 2 weeks...
Important note: the extreme Kong is NOT the same as the red Kong, which apparently is much flimsier. I got this for my neighbor's good-natured pit bull Major, after seeing him shred everything else. Thin rubber squeaky toys last only a few hours, nylabones perhaps a day or two, and even the thick rubber chill pill got shredded. But the Kong Extreme has (to my surprise) remained intact. I had begun to think that only a chunk of cinderblock would survive...maybe. Extreme Kong takes funny bounces (which apparently is part of the idea. Toys with rope handles made for better slobber-avoiding toss-and-fetching, but handles got chewed off very quickly. You can throw this by poking your finger in the holes and tossing--it's marginally better in terms of slobber than many other toys. Kong comes in different sizes--the largest may outweigh your toy Chihuahua, so be judicious. If a neighbor has a pit bull, getting on his good side is important, even if he is as good-natured as Major! Top to learn more

Perfect for pitties & the smell goes away!
I do pit bull rescue and I'm ALWAYS looking for durable toys. This Kong is my favorite of all. I like to have three per dog so that I can mix up batches of Kong stuffing (peanut butter, bananas, and oats) and then freeze them. They are AWESOME for crate training. Now that I've said how awesome they are, there is a drawback. They DO stink when they first come. They DO smell bad. So I always wash mine (with a bottle brush) and soak them in soapy water for a few days before their first use. The smell goes away after awhile, but it never seems to bother my dogs. We LOVE the Kongs! (If you're looking for durable toys you should also check out the Nylabone dinosaur and deer antlers. They are big hits at my house. And if you buy in bulk, [...] is good too!) Used by police, drug enforcement teams, and the military for training working dogs, this super-tough toy stands up to jaws of steel. Even if your dog's job rarely takes him off the couch, the Kong Extreme's goofy, unpredictable bounce makes for hours of chasing and fetching fun--just the thing for animals whose life in the wild consists of tracking, killing, chewing, and then doing the same thing all over again. When you're away, simply stuff the hollow interior with treats or gooey peanut butter, and extracting the contents becomes a "hunt" to keep any pooch happy and busy all workday long. Chewing Kongs helps promote strong jaws, clean teeth, and general oral health. Even aggressive "power chewers" will find it hard to bite through carbon-formula Ultra Flex, and dogs with separation anxiety or problem behaviors like barking and digging will especially benefit from the mental and physical stimulation.
Kongs are made in the USA from a thick, flexible rubber that's non-toxic, non-splintering, and puncture-resistant. This black Kong Extreme is appropriate for medium- to large-sized aggressive chewers, including smaller Labs and golden retrievers. Supervised play is highly recommended, especially when first giving a Kong toy to your dog. Regularly inspect the Kong for cracks or missing chunks, and replace worn or damaged toys to avoid a choking hazard. Satisfaction is guaranteed; if either you or your dog aren't happy with your purchase, return within 30 days for a full refund. --Mary ParkTop to learn more
For extremely extreme chewers, size UP!
I got the Extreme Kong (black), because my rat terrier had already torn apart a Classic Kong (red). He goes through plush squeaky toys in no time flat. He has chewed pieces out of one Extreme Kong, but not the other two. What have I learned to keep him from shredding Kongs? 1) Always supervise your dog with this toy (at least until you know how well it will hold up). Yes, the instructions say this. It's not just CYA legal BS. Until you know for SURE that *your* dog can't chew through the Extreme Kong, don't leave him unattended with this toy. (Unfortunately, this means that I can't give it to him in his kennel to alleviate boredom when I leave the house.) 2) If your dog has already destroyed other toys, consider sizing up from the "recommended" size. My dog weighs 25 lb, which is solidly in the "medium" range, but the Large Kong is better for his extreme chewing. The Extreme Kong he tore apart was a Medium. He hasn't managed to tear apart the Large yet... Top to learn more

Finally, a funny animal book
Let me first establish that I do not own a dog and do not usually read books about dogs.. I stopped reading books about animals years ago because too many of them end with the animal dying. Therefore, I really like the title of the book. The book is funny and thought provoking. I enjoyed pretending that a dog can talk and getting the dog's perspective on the TG. I hope this is the beginning of a series of humor books by Ray Braswell and Jack, of course. Top to learn more

Fun, humorous... and Jack doesn't die at the end, as promised!
I just purchased my Kindle a few days ago and spent a good deal of time downloading a lot of content I thought that I would like to read. Today I read this entire little book while on a road trip. It was funny - I laughed out loud a few times - and fun. I also liked the pictures the author included to really give us a glimpse into Jack's life. It was pretty hilarious to read the imaginary banter between the author and his dog. And, hooray - Jack, as promised, does NOT die in this book. I actually didn't want this story to end, but was pleasantly surprised to find that when it did, I could hop online and visit the blog about Jack and his continued adventures at [...] Definitely worth the download! A warm pupp.
My female Yorkshire Terrier weighs a little under 10 lbs. I bought the small pink Snuggie instead of the extra small worried that it would be too tight. Turns out the small fits well. It has a tiny bit more wiggle room but I don't expect it to fit perfect since it's not custom made. My female Yorkie shivers/trembles in her cage during winter nights. After slipping the Snuggie on her a for a few nights, I've noticed the shivering stopped. Now, whenever I take out the Snuggie, she gets excited and ready to wear it. And it's affordable. It was $9.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond. I used the 20% off coupon and got $2 off! Top to learn more
