finally something that does what it says
been down the road with flea and tick collars. Most seem to work when they are new. After the first month it's down hill all the way. Also, after having problems with another brand and was looking for something that was vet recommended. This comes with that recommendation. However the proof is in the pudding as they say -- or in this case the pussy cat. This stuff does what is say. It stops fleas.So do your pets the favor. They will thank you. It's given once a month on their shoulder blades. Nothing I have ever used works this good. Enough said. Caution: Some cats get determined to twist themselves in a pretzel to lick this. I can caused them to foam at the mouth and make them hyper for about 24 hours after. Solution is easy. Take an old sock and trim the toes for an opening for kitty's head and the cut two arm holes. Effective Treatment, Reasonable Price
I have several cats -indoors and out- and all of them ended up with fleas this year. In the past Frontline has worked just fine, but not this year. It seems like this year has been a horrible year for fleas, either because the fleas are simply worse or older flea preventatives and treatments aren't as effective. After talking with other pet owners I decided to try Advantage. Two of my cats are very allergic to flea bites and were looking and feeling pretty bad until I used Advantage. Within a day of treating all of the cats, there were fewer live fleas on the cats and most of the remaining fleas were dying. I have to note that none of my cats had any allergic reaction from the treatment. A couple of them scratched and licked as fleas came up to the surface, but I kept combing the dying fleas out and the scratching/licking stopped fairly quickly. It's been a week, and the two who are allergic to flea bites are looking better, and none of the cats are licking and... Top to learn more

We have been an Advantage family for years. I help foster animals for a rescue and one of my new guys came in with fleas, which quickly spread to the rest of the crew. A day after applying Advantage to everyone and they were flea free. 2 of my fosters are under the 9lb limit for the purple pack, so I looked up the specs of the orange pack and it is just 1/2 a dose of the purple. Better than Frontline
The new Advantage II working much better on our cats than the Frontline II: no fleas x 4 weeks so far. Also cats did not flinch when we put it on the Advantage II. With Frontline, it seemed to sting their skin and we had to do a 2 person hold to get the stuff on. Everyone is very happy with Advantage II at our house. This is wonderful to prevent fleas. We have been using it around our dogs pen, in the pen and in our home. We didn't have a flea problem inside to begin with but we are using it to prevent that. Our dog was bringing in at least 6 fleas every day. We started putting it on the dog and it almost totally keeps the fleas from getting on her which is no small feat. Our house is surrounded by woods and she stays outside most of the day. It is also OK if she ends up eating some of it because it's safe. They actually use it to deworm animals anyway. One of the drawbacks is that diatomaceous earth dries out skin. We haven't had any issues with it yet but we're always watching. We have also used it on our rose buds and blooms. We dust it right onto the roses. Japanese beetles and June bugs were eating them up but sense we started using the diatomaceous earth, I haven't found but one or two.
