Fancy Feast a GREAT DEAL Here on Amazon!
This is a direct response to the misleading, non-sensical review that starts with the headline: "No Bargain": First off, the "No Bargain" review is EXTREMELY MISLEADING. Here's the two things the reviewer got right: 1) If you DO have the Fancy Feast cases delivered regularly via Amazon's "Subscribe & Save"-- you pay $14.02 a case. 2) If you buy 24 cans at Petsmart (at 53 cents per can) you pay $12.72 for a case. BUT HERE'S WHERE THEIR THEORY IMPLODES: If you buy your case at Petsmart (in CA-- specifically in Los Angeles where I live)-- YOU HAVE TO PAY SALES TAX... Adding as much as $1.24 to the total cost of a case. Now the Petsmart case costs $13.96. Since we've agreed that the Amazon case purchased via Amazon's "Subscribe & Save" costs $14.02... That means there is only a SIX CENT DIFFERENCE PER CASE between Amazon's price and California Petsmart and Walmart prices. Plus, you also have to PAY FOR GAS if...

The only food my aging cat will eat
My 16 year old cat had been on dry food since I adopted her from the shelter 13 years ago. A couple of years or so ago she became very finicky and refused her regular brand. I then switched her to an 'all natuaral' version by the same maker. She did fine on that for awhile then out of the blue she'd have nothing more to do with it. I decided to give wet food a go. As she's becoming more&more picky in her golden years that was a hit&miss ordeal. Seems as fast as I'd stock up on her favorite variety of a brand she'd decide she didn't want it anymore. Every other day I'd have to trek out to the store(in the harsh Michigan winter no less)to find something to feed her. I finally decided to pick up a few cans of Fancy Feast at CVS. I had steered clear of FF because of the high price of those tiny cans. Since I was desperate to get food into kitty I caved. I bought every different variety my local CVS had on the shelf. She didn't want the flaked variety. She wouldn't touch the shredded...

My cats love this moist food with gravy
I can't argue with my kitties. They would eat only this type of food if I would let them. Kibbles are a must, but they share one can twice daily. They look forward to this early AM and late evening treat. They are not partial to any flavor but texture and gravy count. They let me kow by how much they leave in their bowls. For the "Grilled" food there are no leftovers, but "Classic" is not as good. I am just the messenger for "Grateful Pampered" kitties.

My Cats' Favorite Food!
When this food came out, my cats went crazy the first time I brought it home. My older cats had liked the ground or classic cat food but these cats wouldn't have anything to do with it. I've been buying this food for over a year and novelty hasn't worn off yet and even the cat across the street comes over for some. They love it!

Great product!
As another reviewer said, these are pulverized in our house. Once the can is opened, somehow that aroma waifs through the air on the back of a gnat and they're by my side in 1/2 a millisecond! My only suggestion is that if you have a cat that doesn't like pates, be careful on these grilled varieties. They're supposed to all be shredded but they do have a couple that are actually pates and well, up went the nose on those! I pay about six dollars less for this loaf pack at my local grocery, so keep that in mind with the pricetag. I think it's high. Other than that, highly recommend!

my cat loves it, though has more gluten and filler than regular grilled line
for canned food fancy feast is the only thing my cat eats. shed rather starve than eat anything organic. my cat devours this stuff within minutes. she particularly loves the beef. after checking the ingredient list though im wee bit alarmed. for the regular grilled line poultry or beef is listed as the first ingredient, followed by broth liver or fish, then meat by product. these gravy ones has broth as the first ingredient, followed by poultry or beef, and has a higher percentage of gluten. hence the gravy i guess. it sure taste good to my cat but it's like more like junk food than a healthy meal. the kitty won't get these on a regular basis anymore, regular grilled variety is better for her health. suscribe and save is such an awesome deal. it comes out to 46 cents a can. my local walmart used to have fancy feast for 47 cents+tax, no more! now its 54 cents!!!

Solved my cat's urinary problems
At about 3 years of age, our cat would have bladder infections several times a year (straining at the litter, staying there for 5 min+ at a time, only a little urine and it was blood-tinged). We had been feeding her only on indoor cat dry food. After many trips to the vet and rounds of antibiotics, I read that some cats with this problem do better on wet food - something to do with not drinking enough water or just not getting enough fluids in general. For the past 4 years, she has not had one bladder infection! Friskies Chicken Dinner in Gravy Special Diet is the only one she likes the taste of.

Saved my cat's life twice?
About 6 months ago, I found out that my kitty has kidney disease. He was extremely ill, and I was planning on putting him down if he got any worse. About that time, I got a few different cans of Friskies food. He liked the Senior Meaty Bits best, and would eat almost a can a day. He made an almost full recovery very quickly. Fast forward a few months and my kitty gets very sick again. He's worse this time, has trouble walking, and won't eat anything consistently, which makes the disease even worse. I was actually planning on where he would be buried. I tried to feed him meaty bits, and he absolutely loved it, but he would just lick off the gravy. I decided to try putting it through the food processor, and sure enough he gobbled it all down. I guess the meaty bits were too hard for him to chew in his weakened state. Now it is the only food he will eat consistently, and he begs for it. I know it is meant to help with urinary infections, but I wonder if it helps...

Cats Seem to Like it
Hmm, how do I rate this... We have two cats and they like it, each eat half a can in the morning. I can tell they like it because they stand around their bowls waiting for it. Then they eat it. So I guess they like it. I wouldn't stand around a bowl if I knew I was going to get something I didn't like. Then again, if I only had a choice between dried lame cat food and juicy, smelly (*gag) wet cat food, I would probably look forward to my mornings more often. I wonder if the poultry cans taste like the birds they catch and partially eat while the other half flops around in my house, which always seems to happen when we are on vacation. I guess they like that too.
