They are fast!
I go through a lot of spade bits drilling holes to pull wire so I picked these bits up because they were inexpensive and I generally trust Bosch quality. They drill very fast when sharp, and the threaded tip minimizes the need to push on the drill to keep the bit moving forward. The downside is that when they nick a nail and dull the tip continues to force the bit through at the same rate so the drill has to work much harder or stall. I like them and will continue to use them, but now I carry a file to quickly dress the edges as they get dull.

Chewy Bits ;)
Got these today because I couldn't find my cheap old spade bits, and have only used the 5/8" bit so far... Needed to go through the first floor, down to the basement to run a coax cable for a new TV and I was surprised, to say the least! I've owned 'cheap' spade bits all my life and always struggled with them (as excited as I was for the new TV, I was equally UNexcited to get out my old spade bits, and provide the 'shoulder power' I'm used to). Just figured that was how they are. THANK GOODNESS I couldn't find my cheap old set... With this bit, starting the hole (on an angle) was a BREEZE and it PULLED (PULLED, PULLED) itself through with little effort. I actually had to back off and reverse a couple times because I just wasn't ready for the 'chewiness' of this bit. It ATE up the wood with little effort (but still a VERY clean hole), and were it not for my amazement, the hole would have been done in one quick pass. I don't use spade bits much, but when I need another... I hope I can...

Fantastic
Greatest invention in hole making since power drills. These cut fast, really really fast, and most importantly they do all the work for you. I used the half inch bit to bore about 100 holes in 4x4 PT at some uncomfortable angles and the bit did all the work pulling itself right through.
