Brillent Aquariun
This is a great aquarium but I would recommend investing in a small filter system to keep it clean and the undergravel filter is not a filter at all its a plastic bottom with small holes in it. I honestly haven't figured out the use or reason for it. It doesn't seem to be doing anything extra. That being said the colors are very cool all though I am not able to get the green one, the red, blue, yellow, orange, and purple are very nice and cool to look at plus its enough light to see my fish at night but not enough to bother them like a regular light does. Nifty little tank =)
I got this little kit for my crown-tail betta Zurich. I think it's a fantastic little tank if you stock it correctly and know how to work with nano systems. Granted for most if not all suitable fish you will need a heater, as the tank design causes anything on the rear wall to be magnified I opted for a small 7.5 watt under gravel heater, it works like a charm and my fish stays nice and happy. I use this tank for a planted set up and could only be happier if it came with a small internal filter rather then the UGF, but whatcha gonna do? It's not a big deal to me since I'm familiar with them from previous years of fish keeping. I've posted a picture with more information on my setup in the photo section as well. Great tank
I got this tank to replace a 5 gallon tank. (Never buy a "plastic" tank) The glass aquarium came with everything I needed. Add gravel, decorations, water and fish and your done. Couldn't be easier. Great for kids and adults whom don't what a spend a lot of money and time just to have some fish to watch.

Great!!
Not only did i receive this item real fast but its definitely a great starter kit. Easy to set up and way better quality than the $30 walmart starter kit. I also like the tank because it comes with bottles of liquids to make the water habitual and filter packages for an fish amatuer like me. So now i know what products to buy for the upkeep of my fish! The aquarium was suppose to be for the kids but i have taken over, researching what i can on fish. I plan to upgrade for now its a hobby im really into and kudos to amazon for having stand-up vendors.

The PERFECT Aquarium Starter Kit
My son and I very recently got into keeping fish (we love it). We both started with one gallon aquariums to see if we would like it. Almost immediately he upgraded to the ten gallon tank and I upgraded to the five gallon. They are awesome, easy to start up, easy to take care of. We are now going to upgrade once again. My son is getting the 29 gallon version of this tank and I am going to upgrade to the 20 gallon version. Just in case anyone is wondering, we are going to have all four tanks up and running -- we are 'hooked' on keeping fish.

My Betta loves it!
I ordered this tank for my Betta fish after reading up on what type of conditions Betta fish need to thrive. It's very beautiful and easy to set up and clean. It does not come with a heater, however, so I had to order that extra. Betta's prefer water that's in the 75-80 degree range, so a heater and a thermometer are necessities! Get this, not Python
I own both this and the Python equivalent and it is painfully obvious that the Aqueon is way better made. The Python leaks horribly at the faucet connection and has snapped apart from the faucet multiple times. They're basically the same product, but the Aqueon is better quality and so I recommend it. Received this item a few days ago and tried it out. Here are my thoughts. Hose - Thick and sturdy - not flimsy like a lot of other vacuum hoses. Won't crease on you during use which is important. I believe it will stand the test of time. Vacuum Attachment - Thick and wide enough to do the job. Won't break apart as you scrape it through the gravel to suck up the crap buried in it. Faucet Attachment - Comes with several different attachments. Fit on my faucet easily with no leaks. Use - Put the vacuum end into the water. Open the valve at the vacuum and open the valve at the faucet while running the faucet and the auto-siphon will begin. Make sure you turn off your aquarium filter so you don't burn it out and remove any plants/decorations in the water so you can do the job right. It took a while to set up this product. Just wanted to pass along a couple of tips to help. It's easy to use and does waste some water, but it's much better than hauling buckets and trying to keep them clean. 1. Don't connect the hose to the part that goes on the faucet (water flow assembly) until after you have it screwed into the aerator hole. It twists much more easily. 2. Make sure you remove all of the coils out of the hose so that it lays flat before using each time. 3. Make sure your faucet is facing down. We have one that pulls out so you can spray with it, and it tilts to the side unless we put it in facing straight down. (oh, and if you have this type, there IS an aerator hole on the bottom of it, just flip it over and look -that's where it hooks up). 4. I've had three of these for several months now and I have no complaints. I have a betta in each and have two stacked with one on the side. I love the mod design and the fact that each bowl holds close to a gallon gives each of my betta a decent amount of space in a modern, compact design. they are easy to clean and I change the water every two weeks. it doesn't take long to clean and each of my betta are very happy with their homes. My Betta's happy
I bought one through Amazon. Bigger than what I expected. It's a reasonably healthy space for a betta, mine is swimming happily. I was able to fit a small biological filter in the corner with no space problems. The unique "condo" design doubles as hiding areas for the fish. And it looks cool. Great little aquarium
This is a great starter aquarium. Order a book or two about having fish when you order the aquarium too and wait a week before getting fish. In years past you'd have all sorts of work with the filters and such. With the bio-wheel that comes with this tank your only work is to occasionally replace the "physical filter" and do a partial water change. That's it! The tank also comes with a beautiful light that'll really make your fish shine. You will need some gravel too and some plants and maybe a stone or two for the fish to hide behind. The gravel and such are best picked up at your local pet store. Start out with plastic plants rather than live plants; you'll have plenty to do anyway. In my experience things are easier if you have a heater too. The fish likes the water temperature to be constant. I've been using a 150w heater with good success in this tank. I have owned a system 3 for almost 6 years now! If there was 1 word to describe this it would be: Effortless. This is a fine piece of machinery that looks and runs great, for years to come. Maintenence: -Change the filter every 1-3 months (depending on the clenliness of your fish and the nuber you have) -25% water change every time you change the filter or every other time (again, depending on your fish -I also reccomend a gravel cleaner -About once every 8 months to a year, I have to clean out the impeller housing to clean out the junk that builds up because of reduced performance.(manual shows step by step instructions on how to do this, and if you loose your manual, go to marineland.com to download one for free) Cons- none really, but it is quite small. Recently I have been looking at the system 6 or 12. *I'm not sure about how it would do with salt water, as I have not tried, but reading reviews I have not heard... Top to learn more

I think this is an Excellent Small to Midrange Aquarium set. I've been using this aquarium for 3 years now and am very pleased with it. It is an acrylic tank - not glass, so that's the first factor to consider. The difference is that it will be lighter than a glass tank but acrylic can get all scratched up when you're trying to do stuff like scrape algae off - just be careful to not scrub so hard or use abrasive cleaners that can scratch or smoke up the acrylic. I think that 12 gallons is a perfect size for a small area. You can have one larger fish in there, or several small ones. The 12 gallon size gives you a good amount of space so you have more options on what kind and how many fish you want to keep in there. The hinged lid houses the filtration and lighting system while keeping the aquarium covered so that things don't inadvertently fall in, or critters getting out.
